About Christie

I come from a long line of family members who served in our Nations Armed-Forces. I credit my love for diversity, traveling and interest in different cultures to growing up as a “military-brat.”

I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada however, being that my parents were in the military I spent the majority of my childhood and early adolescence in Europe.

It was in Europe that I was first introduced to modeling. My family moved to Italy when I was 10 years old and I was scouted by a representative from United Colors of Benetton. From there I was sent to Milan Italy and hired to do print work on behalf of the company. The photos were internationally published and I found a new love in modeling.

My family moved back to America when I was a teenager which landed me in Newport News, Virginia. Looking back I remember being in total culture shock upon moving back to the U.S.

As an adolescent I participated in numerous activities from sports, fine arts and theater, service projects, leadership roles and beyond but I was most passionate about sports. I had been an athlete all of my life so naturally I leaned towards athletics and in high school I found that I was able to really excel in Track and Field. With the guidance of my coaches and mentoring from experienced teammates I was able to win District, Regional, and State Titles. Three of my teammates and I also set a record in the Shuttle-Hurdle Relay at the Nike Indoor Track and Field Nationals in 2005. Upon graduating from High School I received a Track and Field Scholarship to North Carolina State University.

When I am not in classes, participating with various organizations, or serving in the community I am traveling! I absolutely love to travel and to experience various cultures, communities, social groups and the beauty of diversity.

My ultimate dream is to make contributions to my community, state and country that touch the lives of others for the better. I am the dream of my ancestors and I want my mission and purpose in life to leave a footprint.
