Modeling and Acting

I began modeling while living in Italy when I was 10-years-old.  I was recruited while shopping by a representative from United Colors of Benetton. Since then I have been featured in a variety of print work, magazines, newspapers, on websites and on many runways including New York’s Fashion Week.

I am currently the face of “Hott Links by Luxury Tress,” the newest hair extension product taking over the industry.

I have also had the pleasure of playing the lead role and being featured in a variety of television commercials; namely for the City of Newport News Va, Kia Automobiles, and Spring Street in Charlottesville Va.

While I have put her interests in modeling aside temporarily to complete college I am looking forward to continuing to grow in the industry.

My Experience as Miss Black Virginia U.S.A. 2011

My experience as Miss Black Virginia USA 2011 was an empowering journey that words can not due justice in describing. The growth, maturity and wisdom that I gained as Miss Black Virginia USA is priceless in nature and I give thanks everyday to have had the opportunity to represent the great state of Virginia through 2011.

One of the best aspects of being Miss Black Virginia was that I gained an entire family in the Miss Black USA Organization. The founder and director, Ms. Karen Arrington has become a second mother to me. She is a mother, a teacher, a spiritual advisor and a better mentor then I could have asked for. My beautiful and intelligent “Sister-Queens” are in fact extended family members. Our journey through Nationals brought us together in ways that only The Miss Black USA Organization can unite.

My journey as Miss Black Virginia USA 2011 will forever be one of the foremost memories as I look back on my life in the future.

My Experience as Miss Virginia United States 2009

Through the Miss Virginia United States Pageant Christie was given the opportunity to demonstrate her inner confidence and to learn and growth with like minded individuals.

As Miss Virginia United States 2009 I lived everyday with a new understanding and outlook on life. I was involved in so many wonderful experiences such as volunteering with Hands on Greater Richmond, The Special Olympics, The Giving Heart Organization on Thanksgiving Day, presenting an award at the Virginia Fashion Awards, participated in the USO’s Global Read for the Record Campaign, and I had the opportunity to make many appearances such as at Colonial Downs Raceway and at the American Cancer Society’s annual Fundraiser.

My favorite part of being Miss Virginia United States was that I had the opportunity to take a look at life from so many perspectives and to learn so much about who I am and what I stand for. The experiences I had through this pageant experience have impacted my life in indescribable ways and I am extremely honored to have the opportunity to live out such an amazing opportunity. My time as Miss Virginia United States was nothing short of extraordinary and truly prepared me for my new role representing my culture, and the commonwealth of Virginia as Miss Black Virginia USA 2011.
